Navmii Offline GPS USA App Reviews

Worst POS I have ever paid for

Tried to download maps for the area, and it just keeps saying "cannot find it"- it is a major f-ing city! No instructions for iPad, use the free maps.me instead. Much better, and free.

Go to nav app

Been using this since it was Nav Free. It has been getting better with each release. I really like the feature of loading only the area maps that you will be using.

Need improvements

App needs a few tweaks such as: 1) Location Services needs to be updated to allow While Using the app option, as opposed to only Always or Never. 2) App needs to be updated to allow Background App Refresh. 3) App should be updated to go back or to the previous screen when the user swipes the screen from left to right. 4) App needs to support Apple CarPlay.

Map packs used to be free

Now each costs 2.99, making it quite expensive. And I bought twice the remove ads, for EU and US versions, downloaded couple of maps for free, but no more. I will not give them more money, as I feel baited to get the product. The navigation itself is not very good, the free offline maps were the only advantage.

Great App

Been using this app for months and it saved me time and money on my commute. Highly recommend this app to everyone.

Battery DESTROYER!!

Got this app when I picked up my new Pioneer head unit. The navigation functions as it should and mirrors the screen to my in dash nav perfectly. However.... One of the requirements of using the app is the location services setting has to be set to "Always On" rather than "Only when using". This eats your battery life when your phone isnt hooked up to the head unit, even when you arent actively navigating. While a single charge used to last me all day on my 6s Plus, I have to charge my phone by early afternoon when location services are enabled for this app. Turning it off when not needed is a pain, since its buried pretty deep in the iPhones settings and I usually save my destination the night before a trip. Fix the location services problem and itll be 5 star app any day.

Good app, cant use any alert features

The only reason to use a social god app is to share alerts and conditions. This app doesnt let me do that. At least not on my pioneer head unit. The alerts pop up, but there is no submit button visible. Its on the phone but not on the head unit. Am I supposed to pull the phone out of the glove box to submit? The only button on the head unit is the cancel button. So for is Im canceling using this app. Waze lets me do everything through the head unit including sending alerts. Until navmii fixes their interface its all but useless to me.

Very useful

Used to use this before I had a data plan. It works quite well with straight forward addresses, but some street names that have numbers in them can be troublesome. Using wifi or 3G data to save locations before a trip greatly improves address finding due to the incorporation of Google searching. It stalls sometimes on my older iPhone 4S, but that usually means its time to give the phone a reboot. Nicely lowers the music when giving directions. Lots of great options and features.

Nice app

The only issue is with the last update I can not find the different voices I could use other than the default. I hope with the next update that is brought back.

hahshs

The product is a lie. It stops navigating while Im driving. It messed me up. Dont support this

Needs some attention

For a free app its not to shabby. Ties into my stereo just fine. Noticed some updates are needed as to speed on roads, and actual map locations. But again its FREE.

No use on the iPad

I tried to download the map of Texas and when I tried to do a search of a certain address it doesnt search what Im looking for. It gives you other city names that are similar and it doesnt help with instant response like Google maps. So no good.

Possibilities

I must give only 1 star. Twice I tried installing a purchased copy, but it does not install in settings. That may be why it can not find my address book. I can not recommend this app for anything right now. There is potential, but Ive two others that have moe working features, though one must access the web to program routes. The other allows programming routes off line. This I need. When I can actually program a route Ill do another review.

Great app for the price

Use regularly. Easy to use and clear instructions.

North is Up

It would be nice if the map could maintain North is Up and pan continuously also.

A great app...but

Im using the app to pair to my pioneer head unit. Wish it had the ability to allow to play Spotify app in the background and voice search option. The map isnt upto date for my area, construction area months ago change ramp directions but no changes to the maps. Otherwise love that it uses Google search. Hope it continues to improve.

Navmii USA

Very poor in states. Very delayed in finding my location. Mostly useless. No features (less) than other nav. apps. Might work traveling into other countries? When I travel Ill download that place & give it a try. For now deleting.

Battery hog

Uses way to much battery even when not using the app. Should allow only location services when using the app.

Not worth the time

I found the app difficult to navigate. I wanted to use it for bike riding. After establishing my home it listed the local coffee shop being over 5000 miles away. When I selected the driving route it would tell me there was no causeway to get me to my intended destination. If I have to spend more than 30 minutes trying to figure out an app then its not for me.

Good and the best thing is offline navigation!
